DMOD-Bricks Datasheet |
Modem interception module
Netbricks data demodulation modules allows the extraction of the data exchanged by two voiceband modems, connected to the PSTN, through the analysis of the input sampled signals. The analysis includes startup signal analysis, data demodulation, LAPM error monitoring and data decompression. The identification of the modem's session configuration (modulations, compression and protocols) is automatic. Customer's project using Dmod-Bricks includes real time processing and off line analysis on recorded samples streams.
DMOD-BRICKS Data module supports the following features:
| Input Formats |
PCM samples format should follow ITU-T G.711 (8kHz, 8 bits A/ µ law or 8/16 bits linear). |
Probe access |
samples from both direction must be retrieved separately (in a stereo file or two mono files). |
| Modulations |
Bell 103, Bell 212, V.21,
V.22/V.22bis, V.23, V.32/V.32bis, V.34, V.90, and also
V.92 including Quick Connect, PCM Upstream and Modem-on-Hold. |
Error Protocols |
V.42, MNP4 |
| Compression Protocols |
V.42bis, MNP5 |
Erroneous Frame Recovery |
Erroneous frames can be recovered by powerful feedback iterative algorithm based on V.42 HDLC frame checking. This feature is crucial because any erroneous or missing V.42 frame would desynchronized V.42bis dictionary and consequently the rest of the decoding.
