RMI Corporation Adds Netbricks to RMI Partner Alliance

Netbricks, Now Part of ENEA, Supports RMI's Multi-core Multi-threaded Processor Solutions With Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) Technology

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- RMI Corporation, a leading supplier of High Performance Processor Solutions for networking, communications and media rich applications, announced that Netbricks, a leading software solutions provider recently acquired by ENEA[R], has joined the RMI[R] Partner Alliance (RPA), bringing comprehensive solutions to customers in the infrastructure, enterprise and media markets. Through ENEA, Netbricks brings support for RMI's multi-core multi-threaded XLR Processor[TM] in the development of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products focused on telecommunications and unique communication protocols for both traditional and next generation networks.

"We are pleased to have the strength of Netbricks' products in the RMI Partner Alliance, and especially proud to include its parent company ENEA in the partner relationship," said Mark Litvack, director of business development, RMI Corporation. "ENEA brings its proven success in communications software solutions and services including operating systems, middleware and databases for embedded and high-availability architectures. This blend of ENEA's communications and Netbricks' networking technologies complements the RMI product family, and extends its reach to deliver powerful processing solutions to the global market."

The RMI Partner Alliance delivers RMI customers a breadth of communications protocols and deep networking systems solutions to support the design of embedded technologies for high-performance networking infrastructure. The addition of Netbricks to the Alliance enables XLR-based[TM] solutions to support the SCTP transport protocol, for enhanced message-based multi-streaming of data across the network. The RMI Partner Alliance benefits Netbricks by offering solutions and channels across a broad market including security, wireless and consumer media applications.

"Our partnership with RMI and the strength of its Partner Alliance is a perfect market opportunity for the combined technologies of ENEA and Netbricks," said Didier Raffenoux, director of product management protocols at ENEA. "The Netbricks software portfolio delivers innovative design opportunities for RMI and its OEM customers, and opens new market sectors for our solutions. We look forward to adding the strength of our market share to the momentum of RMI partners in order to benefit OEM and ODM customers worldwide."

RMI[R] products push the edge of processor technology in performance and integration, and are used by system and original equipment manufacturers to address the infrastructure, enterprise, and consumer markets. The company's XLR[R], XLS[TM] and Alchemy[TM] Processor families are based on an innovative MIPS[R]-compatible architecture creating highly-integrated designs incorporating advanced RMI internal architectures and built on leading-edge silicon process technologies.
